CHARITABLE CAUSES

At Florida Girl Design we believe in supporting others and promoting good charity...

We have been very fortunate to experience some extraordinary animal welfare and conservation facilities throughout the years. Along with being an advocate for rescued animals, Robin also actively supports marine health by contributing to and purchasing from the businesses below. Portions of the purchases from these businesses go to helping wildlife and our oceans. Even a small purchase can go a long way.

Turtle Hospital
The Turtle Hospital

The Turtle Hospital opened its doors in 1986 with four main goals: 1) Rehab injured sea turtles and release them back to their natural habitat. 2) Educate the public by visiting local schools and attending outreach programs. 3) Conducting and assisting with research aiding sea turtles. 4) Working toward environmental legislation making the beaches and water safe for sea turtles. You can “adopt” one of the permanent resident sea turtles! Your contribution of $35.00 a year helps provide food and medicine for your sea turtle.

Fahlo

Fahlo partners with non-profit organizations to create bracelets that come with a real animal to track. Fahlo started this mission in 2018, and has since been fortunate to donate hundreds of thousands of dollars to save wildlife. By combining a tangible bracelet and interactive tracking experience, Fahlo's goal is to educate customers about wildlife and excite them about conservation.

Waterlust

Waterlust makes beautiful, versatile and environmentally responsible clothing inspired by marine species and ecosystems in need of advocacy. 10% of the profits from your purchase are donated to high-impact research and education organizations that are experts in their specific fields. Thier team of  science communicators works with these experts to teach you everything you need to know about the species or ecosystem you’re supporting.

Shore Buddies

Shore Buddies donates $1.00 for the ocean from product purchases. Proceeds fund educational outreach campaigns to educate children about the dangers of ocean plastic pollution, to save marine life and keep plastics out of the ocean.
